Media Mail is the shipping standard for all of our vintage books, which can generally take 10-28 business days.  Priority Mail upgrades can be purchased inexpensively and are available for all items. An extraordinary amount of care is taken for shipping and handling of the books and we provide a tracking number with all of our orders. Our books ship well-packaged, protected with bubble wrap. We promise quick shipping and delivery. We strive to provide excellent service!

All books are sent via USPS Media Mail, which generally takes between 10-28 business days. If you need the item sooner, please notify us ASAP so that we can identify the shipping cost.

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. That is why we offer a guarantee on any book purchased through Vintage Bookworms. If you are not satisfied with your purchase within 7 days from receiving, please email us that you intend to return the book. No questions asked. You will be sent a a full refund of the book price. We strive every day to provide you with great books, reasonably priced and the service you expect from your small, local book shop.

Please note that you will be taxed according to the country that you purchase from or your organization is registered in. This rate is determined by that country. Tax rates differ between countries, and are subject to change from time to time.

Buyer is responsible for all VAT and customs charges related to their purchase. We cannot anticipate what those charges will be and as such, suggest that the buyer research this information and contact their customs authority before making a purchase from Vintage Bookworms.

Our vintage books are carefully shipped in sustainable packaging materials made of recycled and compostable materials, whenever possible. We use cardboard mailers made of recycled materials, compostable poly mailers and recycled boxes in shipping our books to their new homes.

To preserve the condition of your book, place your book upright on a shelf with the spine facing outward. Books should be firmly pressed together but not wedged in tightly, which causes stress on the bindings. Shelves should not be exposed to direct sunlight and should be in a dry, insect-free location.

Antique bibles have three basic sizes: Quarto, approx. 9 inches tall; Folio, larger, rare printings; and Octavo, smaller coat-pocket size printings.

Utilizing a fancy gothic calligraphy known as Black Letter or a plain typeface known as Roman, they are usually bound in leather or half-calf where the spine and corners are leather but the center of the boards are marbled board. Armored bindings with metalwork at the corners and center and are extremely rare.

Many antique bibles are blind-stamped or decorative stamped into the leather resulting in a design. Gold-Stamped applies gold into the groove of the stamping.

Books of Common Prayer are the official reference book for daily prayers and prayers read at a wedding, funeral, baptism.
