ABOUT: The second volume of a collection of all the published editions of the Guardian, issues 83-176, with entertaining essays on philosophy, modern events, literature and other erudite topics as well as poetry and occasional illustrative plates. Late edition, 1794, London. The plates as follows:

1. A woman abandoning her child in a receptacle set into the wall of a church, her basket at her feet
2. A woman seated in her country cottage, resting her chin on her hand and with a sad look on her face, a letter to the nobleman who debauched her daughter on the table to the right, her landlord entering beyond
3. Two young men in conversation, one gesturing to two young women who walk beyond, a dog at their feet
4. A seated man, dressed in a banyan and reading a paper with a look of surprise on his face, the messenger to the left

CONDITION: VG-

To preserve the condition of your book, place your book upright on a shelf with the spine facing outward. Books should be firmly pressed together but not wedged in tightly, which causes stress on the bindings. Shelves should not be exposed to direct sunlight and should be in a dry, insect-free location.
