Early edition of The Pickwick Papers, by Charles Dickens. Published in Philadelphia by T.B. Peterson, no date, but approximately 1840s to 1850s. With the original whimsical illustrations. Sized 9 and a half by 6 inches, 371 pages, double column format. Bound in dark brown/black cloth with bright gilt illustrations. A little foxing. This is Dickens' first book.
