House of Seven Gables circa 1925 vintage book by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Supernatural & witchcraft Antique. Poor Condition

An inspiration to HP Lovecraft, The House of the Seven Gables is set in Salem, in a house belonging to Hawthorne's cousin Susanna Ingersoll and by ancestors of Hawthorne who had played a part in the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. With overtones of supernatural and witchcraft, the story explores themes of guilt, retribution, and atonement.
